The reader and your data

The public site adds no advertising or analytics trackers. The protected reader uses a secure session cookie for up to 12 hours after you enter an access code. The server stores hashed access credentials, session records, and rate-limit records derived from an IP address. PDF links expire. Hosting and infrastructure services may process request and connection data.

Search runs in your browser after it loads the selected protected texts. Notebook entries, bookmarks, and reading position are stored in your browser and are not uploaded to the publisher. Export your notebook before clearing browser data. Signing out ends reader access; it does not erase your local notebook. Email links open your own email application.
